The work as an abolitionist never ceases and there is yet more to be done to raise the attention level of our cities and state to the horrendous plight of some of our citizens to this ugly monster called human trafficking.
In light of this need, the Michigan Rescue and Restore Coalition has partnered with the WCCCD District Northwest Campus to share the FAAST Hands That Heal Curriculum as a means to help others help survivors of trafficking.
The four (4) sessions will commence March 10th and consequently every Saturday of the month from 9am-3pm. Here is a great opportunity to sit and learn and be engaged to how hurting people are exploited and how we can foster the healing process through learning and understanding their needs. The curriculum addresses their physical needs, social needs, psychological needs, spiritual needs with an introduction to aftercare and the cultural issues in trafficking and trauma.
Join the forces that want to be ready to yield a helping hand and open heart as survivors seek out how to restore their lives.
As a community we cannot afford to allow another life to be destroyed or another person to feel isolated by the act of trafficking.
Register by calling 248.560.7210 or go to michiganrescueandrestore@gmail.com.
We look forward to equipping many with insight and understanding that will generate hope, solutions and renewal for those who have an opportunity for a "new" life.
