Perspectives on Work in Trafficking

The topic may not be in the news as often as it should. Journalist are not pursuing it as they could. Citizentry is not shouting about it as we would especially if it touched close to home. Nonethless, the topic of human trafficking continues to be a very real threat in the lives of all citizens of the state of Michigan as well as the world. Populations of vulnerable people are being mistreated daily and it is imperative that we who are informed of this heinous crime are on our posts shouting from the rooftop that trafficking in person is consuming and damaging lives of men, women, and children around the globe. We must not grow weary in our endeavor to raise awareness or educate our youth on the slippery means and methods of men and women who are daily recruiting if not kidnapping unsuspecting people for their fifthy means. If I could sound the trumpet battle cry, WAKE UP! THE ENEMY IS ALREADY AT THE GATES OF OUR STATE! So get involved, join us in the fight, become enraged, informed and enlightened to safeguard all our youth and other targeted groups. Consider Michigan Rescue and Restore Coalition as a beginning, write to the local newspapers, call a journalist, blog on the subject, remind our legislators too.
