Petition - Detroit City Council, Wayne County Commissioners,
Michigan and Federal Legislators

We must Enact Prevention, Protection and Prosecution Legislation
that will enforce a Zero-tolerance public policy, asset forfeiture and permanent
closure of Sexually Oriented Businesses that hire underage workers, independent
contractors or undocumented individuals.

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Customers called her "Fantasy", but the topless
dancer was only 14 years old. And with her mother by her side, the teenager is
now sharing her story with Action News. The arrest of the manager who hired the
underage dancer is what led to the All Stars strip club being forced to close.
But now new owners of the business and property are in court, waging a battle
against the city of Detroit and community groups in hopes of reopening the strip
club that police say was also the scene of multiple shootings and
murders.

The former stripper, now 18, admits that during that rebellious time in her life, she lied to her mom about where she was at night.

She auditioned for the club manager, who was later charged in connection with her case, and says she told him she was 19, but no one ever asked to see identification before she got on stage, making up to $500 a night.

The teen says it was scary seeing other dancers having sex for money and that men propositioned her so frequently that it often scared her into leaving work early some nights.

In another case, LINCOLN PARK — Acknowledging that they have failed in enforcing a city ordinance in the past, the Police Department is now demanding that nude dancers be licensed. (Well, that may have been at the time; however, that is not the case now!)

The enforcement decision comes days after it was publicly revealed that an underage Wyandotte girl was allowed to dance nude in March at the Atlantis Lounge, 863 Dix-Toledo.

Hours later, she was found near death in a nearby motel after allegedly taking a large amount of drugs supplied to her by a customer. She died a short time later.

People working at the city's sole strip club have until June 7 to comply with an ordinance requiring that their fingerprints be taken and a criminal background check be done.

Those who don't register as an adult cabaret employee or independent contractor by that time run the risk of 90 days in jail and a $500 fine.

This is Modern-day Slavery and under federal law, anyone under 18-years of age is considered a victim of human sex trafficking working in adult entertainment without having to prove fraud, force or coercion.
